When asked whether I'd be willing to write a blog post for SAADA, I happily agreed without much of an idea as to the content of the post. However, as an international graduate student, I found myself moved to explore early international student life at the University of Michigan. It was here that I specifically started considering focusing my blog post on the university's longstanding Barbour Scholarship that was and is awarded to female international students.
